1. How did you and your husband meet?

We met at work.  He was in accounting and I was in the land department at an oil & gas company.  I would see him frequently since my work would run into his work.  He befriended me early on since I was new.

2. How did he pop the question?

We were in Cabo on vacation.  We planned a private beach dinner, just the two of us.  He asked right after we ate, next to a lit up driftwood tree.

3. What do you two like to do for fun?

We like to watch movies and tv shows.  We love spending time with our dog, taking him on walks, playing fetch.  We like to try new restaurants, take drives, and travel.

4. Tell us about your wedding planning experience! What did you love? Was your favorite part of it?

Wedding planning was great, with the help of Honey & Joy!  I don't think it would have gone so well doing it by ourselves. We had started the process before getting in contact with Honey & Joy.  Planning a wedding from a couple states away, and in the middle of a pandemic was stressful.  I know there would be days I knew I had things to do, but I didn't want to do them.

5. What personal touches did you include into your wedding day?

Fabyan sang after the dances.  He loves to sing and play guitar, it was something that he wanted to do, and he did an amazing job!  We also bought masks and hand sanitizer for guests.  The live band was also something we really wanted, and it was perfect.

6. Tell us about the wedding dress! How did you choose it? (not sure you want to use this)

I got my dress back in 2011, when I was previously engaged.  I still loved it and asked Fabyan if he minded me wearing it.  He said it wouldn't bother him so I wore it.  Also to save me some money, which didn't happen because it was spent elsewhere instead!

7. Tell us about the decor and floral. How did you decide?

Fabyan's favorite color is orange, so we wanted to incorporate it into our day.  Oh boy did we.  We loved it, we loved the bright colors.  I used to be about pastels, and lighter colors, which I still enjoy.  But years ago my uncle told me I needed to look at more bright colors, so that's what we did.  Honey & Joy definitely helped with the decor, especially the name card wall.  I would not have been able to do that by myself.

8. What advice do you have for couple engaged?

This is your day, do what you want.  If you want a small wedding, do it.  If you want a large wedding, go for it.  You can take advice from family, but at the end of the day this day is about the two of you.  Do what will make you happy.  Stop stressing, and try to enjoy.  Things will go wrong, when we cut into our cake it was the wrong flavor, but we made do and now it's a memory we got from our wedding day.
